  Absolutely loved fishtales. The food and service were amazing. Stunning outlook, lovely and relaxing. A must visit. Definately recommend the Cajun calamari.

  As an Aussie I've tasted A LOT of chips. Including NZ ones (boy are they good too!) however, the best chips I have ever tasted are the chips Fromm fishtales. Perfectly crunchy! Reasonable pricing! I'm so lucky to have this store just down the road. Of course the service is exceptional and the setting and view is really pleasant. An easy 5 star rating!

  Love getting fishtales but I am not impressed with how they keep raising prices. Disappointed to find out that my favourite fish and chips shop is now to expensive to have regularly. Don't think I'll be eating there as often now.

  The deal breaker unfortunately was the 45mm (2") stainless steel wire that we pulled from the first bite of the batter on the fish. It was clearly part of a heavy duty scrubbing pad from the kitchen or somewhere else. I quietly took it to the young boy at the counter and explained where we found it ( it still had batter cooked into it's curls). He took it to the kitchen as I returned to the inside table, and I heard someone say "Oh wow! That's amazing. I wonder where that came from" and that was it! We weren't expecting anything for free (and carefully picked through the rest of our meal for more stainless steel) but I really thought someone might have taken 60 seconds to come out and apologise and ask if everything else is OK.

  2 AWEFUL fatty / greasy pieces of salmon @ $22 + $7 to cook it them.. & had to wait about 40 minutes. Nice sweet potato chips though.
